I received a package containing 6 releases from Rockin' Camel Music to review. Very rarely do I receive multi-releases where they are all good. These are beyond good, every one of them are as good as good gets. They were produced by Decatur's Johnny Sandlin. Super producer/engineer Sandlin played with Gregg and Duane Allman as drummer for Hourglass. He produced "Ramblin' Man" the song that launched the Allman Brothers Band. He became the head of A&R for legendary Capricorn Records. Sandlin has 10 Gold Albums and 5 Platinum Albums to his credit. A partial list of acts he has produced: The Allman Brothers Band, Gregg Allman, Duane Allman, Aquarium Rescue Unit, Richard Betts, Elvin Bishop, Cowboy, Bonnie Bramlett, Captain Beyond, The Decoys, Cher and Gregg, Arthur Connely, Mac Davis, Dixie Dreggs, Eddie Floyd, Jimmy Hall, Eddie Hinton, Hourglass, Hydra, Eddie Kendricks, Doug Kershaw, Kingfish, Chuck Leavell, Marshall Tucker Band, Charlie Daniels Band, Wet Willie, Delbert McClinton, Nitty Gritty Dirt Band, Outlaws, Leroy Parnell, Dan Penn, Jerry Reed, Alex Taylor, Livingston Taylor, Derek Trucks, Watters Brothers, Tim Weisberg, Kitty Wells and Widespread Panic.

Rockin' Camel Music roster also include Flora-Bama regulars, Johnny Barbato & The Lucky Doggs and Huntsville's Toy Shop. Soon to be added is Highly Kind, who are in the studio now. Of course, I will do reviews as soon as other releases are received from this kickass label. (I love almost aIl music, but readily admit Rockin' Camel does the music I love best.) - Jerry Henry, The planet Weekly
