![]() NEWSKEEPING THAT SOUTHERN FRIED SOUND ALIVE!Highly Kind Signs with Rockin CamelPosted: March 14, 2008 ![]() Albert Simpson, lead vocalist/guitarist/leader of the band, played in several bands that toured the colleges and couches around the southeast for several years, learning the hard way what it was to be a so-called "Working Musician." In 1998, Trey Evans, keyboardist from Montgomery, Alabama, was dragged kicking and screaming into the band. Trey eventually left the band to pursue other opportunities. Several years passed and Trey was dragged into the band once again. Straining their way through the musical soup that the southeast had to offer, Albert and Trey eventually found a bass player, an ex-semi-pro wrestler from Dothan Alabama named Kevin Scott (or as the band calls him Ted Technical.) In 2007, Duane Trucks filled out the rhythm section on drums. Highly Kind recently penned a deal with Rocking Camel Music and the band is currently in the studio with legendary producer, Johnny Sandlin.
