Rockin' Camel Music Set To Release New Bonnie Bramlett Album

On February 14th, 2008, Rockin' Camel Music will digitally release a new album from Mega-Star, Bonnie Bramlett. The album, titled "Beautiful," will be available for digital download exclusively at RockinCamel.com on February 14.

Bonnie Bramlett started here career when she was just 14. She started singing on Gaslight Square, a St. Louis nightclub area. She learned from the best, gaining a very strong musical foundation. Her love of rhythm and blues got the attention of Albert King and Little Milton. She then became a member of the Ikettes, the backup singers for Ike & Tina Turner.

As her career expanded, she moved to Los Angeles, in 1967, where she met her soon to be husband, Delaney Bramlett. They formed a band named: Delaney & Bonnie & Friends. The group released 5 amazing albums; their 1st was Delaney & Bonnie/ Home on Stax Records. Her song "Superstar" (co-wrote with Leon Russell) was nominated for a Grammy in 1972. In 1972 Delaney and Bonnie fell apart both professionally and personally.

Bonnie decided to begin a solo career and moved to Georgia. There she joined "The Average White Band," a little know Scottish band. She issued solo LP's on the Capricorn label in 1974, 1976, and 1978. She became the #1 backup singer on various artists albums. Later she was invited to tour with the Allman Brothers and became known as "The Allman Sister."

In the 1980?s she returned to L.A. and remarried in 1988. She landed a guest role on the T.V. show Fame, and also a role in The Doors movies along side Val Kilmer, Meg Ryan, and Billy Idol. Roseanne Barr asked Bonnie to join her on Roseanne as Bonnie Watkins, her co-worker.

When her 2nd marriage ended she moved to Idaho to collect herself. 1999 came around and she was on her way to Nashville. She signed with Corlew Music Group and Blue Hat Records in 2001. In 2005 she signed with ZoHo Records; She released ROOTS, BLUES, and JAZZ in 2006. Rockin Camel Music signed Bonnie in 2007 where she teamed up with Johnny Sandlin, legendary producer and engineer, to release this album: "Beautiful."
